A Beeston Parish Church men's group, probably in the early 1950s.

Standing immediately behind the boy's cap badge, is the then Vicar of Beeston, Revd. Canon J P Halet. On the front row, next right from the boy, and with the prominent belt around his overcoat, is Harold Stones. The younger man with glasses, second from the left is Paul Smith (not the clothes designer of that name) who was the Sacristan at Beeston church for many years. On the back row, bridging the gap between the left window and the door porch, is Deryk Peters and his father, Ernest George Peters, who was a Church Warden at around that time.
