The above two photographs, probably at Church Street School, are undated but are from about 1910 and 1913, respectively.
The upper one is known to include Arthur Wakefield (Second row from the front, 4th from right)
The second photograph is from the same source and may also include Arthur but he has not been identified.

Arthur Wakefield (1902-1981) was born and lived all his life in Beeston.
He left school in around 1915 and worked during the remainder of the war years at the Chilwell Shell Filling factory before joining his father, working as a painter and decorator as part of the family firm of G.E. Wakefield & Son.
As a boy, he lived with his parents at 16 Commercial Avenue, Beeston, In June 1932, he married Doris Alma Brown at Beeston Parish Church and went on to live at 99 Wollaton Road, Beeston.

This photograph at Church Street School, dated September 1915, shows Arthur Wakefield and three of his school friends at around the time they left that school
Their teacher is recorded as Mr Elcome and the Head Master as Mr Riley
The other three boys are collecively rather than individually identified on the back as:

Maurice Dearden - probably Maurice Vincent Dearden, b. Burton Joyce, Notts, May 1903, one of six children of Arnold & Ada Dearden.
In 1911, the family were living on Park Road, Chilwell and Arnold was employed as an architect and surveyor.
Maurice married Flora Lillian Goodall in 1925. He died in Eastbourne in November 1925.

Fred Barren - probably Frederick Barron, b. Hull June 1902 and living there with his parents in 1911.
The family appear to have moved to Beeston as his father, Frederick Temperence Barron, died there in 1918 as did his mother in 1934.
He married Minnie Mabel Perrons in 1930 and they were living at 3 Lilac Crescent, Beeston in 1939, with Fred working as a transport driver.
He died, probably in Beeston, in 1980.

Stanley (Edward) Dauncey - b. Beeston 1902 the son of William Austin Dauncey & his wife Ella.
In 1911, the family were living at 19 Newton Street with William working as a store keeper, probably at Foster & Pearsons.
In 1931, Stanley, then a chemist's clerk, married Florence Annie Barker (then a widow) in Long Eaton.
By 1939 they were living at 8 Elm Avenue, Beeston, Stanley died in 1976 while living in Barrett Lane, Attenborough.
