Ericssons - Maintenance Shop - 1940s/50s
This image, dated 1956, shows those who provided carpentry, joinery and painting maintenance throughout the factory
The man on the second row, between the very young man and the man in the stripey tie, is John Eric George (see below).
On the extreme right of the back row is Bert Toon, who emigrated to Canada in that year. Next to him is Bill Gerard.
In the white coat, on the left, is Tom Jones, the Superintendent with Jack Warden, foreman painter in white overalls
This image probably show carpentry/joinery employees from the same department in the second half of the 1940s.
John Eric George (1931-1993), who started there in 1945, aged 14, is the young man behind the man on the left.
