These photographs are from an album of photographs, dated 1921, which shows the working environment at
The British L. M. Ericsson Manufacturing Company Limited telephone works at Beeston.
We intend to include the full range of these photographs in a planned feature on Ericsson's Beeston works

Thanks to Patrick Hassell, for kindly making these photographs available
Patrick's late father-in-law's father, Allan Fergusson Wood, moved to Beeston in 1910 to manage the Ericsson Telephone works

Philip Ward has identified his father, Samuel Henry Dewick Ward, then aged 20, on the lower picture, in the centre row, 5th from the left and his mother, then Grace Millicent Stanley, then aged 17, front row, 6th from the left. They married in 1930. Samuel was known as 'Sammy' at work but used the old family name 'Dewick' at home. He became Chief Engineer at the Ericsson factory at Beeston and was awarded the MBE at the end of WW2 for services to the war effort.

None of the other individuals are identified currently. Let us know if you recognise any of them.
