We are reasonably confident that this is a Beeston team, based on its provenance
The details on the ball, and a study of newspapers of the time, point to it being Beeston Church Football Club

The photograph was part of the effects of the late Noel Bates (b. 1890 in Aspley, Notts) who emigrated to America in 1909
His parents, Matthew and Mary Ann (née Bullimore) had moved to Beeston when Noel was an infant and died there in 1933 and 1943 respectively
It is possible that Noel, then aged about 17, is shown on the extreme right on the front row
In America, he settled in Des Moines, Iowa, where he worked as a barber. He died, aged 93, in 1984
