She and Margaret Norton (née Taylor), who is on her left, were co-captains of the team.
She has also identified Janet Pollard (eldest daughter of Arthur Pollard, the last owner of Swiss Mills) who is on the extreme left, back row
and Avril Proctor, standing next to her

Brian Preston believes he has identified Jaquie Norrish, second from the left on the front row

Sheila Porterfiled (née Boone) has written "I appear on the photo of Nether Street Girls Athletics Group 1950. I am on the next to the back row at the far right hand side. Next to me is my friend Brenda Hunter née Bingham. On the back row at the far right hand side at the end of the row stands Sybil Stone at her right hand side is Jean Morley, whose parents had a shop at Beeston Rylands next to her is Jean Holberry who lived down Alexandra Cresent. On the right hand side of the teacher is Maureen Teeboon"

Peter Bryan has identified his aunt, Beryl Mary Bryan, the teacher standing on the back row in the floral dress.
The position of sports teacher at Nether Street School was her first post after training.
She went on to teach at Redhill School, Arnold and then Colonel Frank Seely School at Calverton before retiring.
She sadly passed away on 27th December 2013 aged 87 years.
