Letterhead, showing the Swiss Mills complex of factories, c1904. The Swiss Mills building itself is
the largest building, to the right.
The factory telephone number was Beeston 2. It was retained by John Pollard jnr until
1997, but eventually with eleven digits ending in 002. The Willows in Dovecote Lane was Beeston 1.

Cross Street frontage in the late 1970s, after the demolition of houses. Swiss Mills is on the right, behind and a
building of the same period, with dormer windows, in front. The stair turrets are typical of lace factories, a safety feature in case of fire and
maximising space for machines on all floors. Dobson's Mill is to the left.
