• Occupation: Lacemaker, at the time of the census in March 1851. ⁴⁷⁵ He was then living with his wife and five children on Chapel Street, Beeston, Notts

• Occupation: lace maker, at the time of the census in April 1861. ⁴⁷⁶ He was then living with his wife and six children in Chilwell, Notts

Edwin married Hannah Hart, daughter of William Shakespeare Hart and Hannah Potter. (Hannah Hart was born circa 1809 in Tewkesbury, Gloucs ^477,478,479.)
