The Burnham and Associated Families of Beeston
John Wilkinson Burnham and his family moved to Beeston from Clifton in around 1827. For about 150 years, through about five generations, the family joinery business operated on Villa Street in Beeston and the wider family were involved with the licensed trade - notably the Royal Oak in Beeston - and were butchers, bakers, schoolmasters, amongst many diverse occupations.
