Arthur married Emma Simons Carter, daughter of Hanwell Holmes Carter and Emma Elizabeth Simons. (Emma Simons Carter was born circa 1863 in Nottingham ^{137,138,139,140} and was baptised on 30 Jun 1863 in Nottingham (St Peters) ¹⁴¹.)
