Samuel Chapman

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: iron furnace man, at the time of the census in April 1861. ³⁴⁰ he was then living at South Wingfield, Derbyshire with his wife, a "daughter" - apparently his wife's by a previous relationship - and a visitor, Sarah Ann Clifford.

Samuel married Mary Clifford, daughter of Joseph Clifford and Mary, on 15 Oct 1848 in Sandiacre, Derbys.³²¹ (Mary Clifford was born circa 1819 in Sawley, Derbys ³²².)
