Elizabeth

  Noted events in her life were:

• Residence: north side of Back Street, Sawley, Derbyshire, at the time of the census in June 1841. ³⁶⁶ He daughter Elizabeth and son John were living there with her as was Eady Stenson, aged 71, possibly her late susband's sister.

• Residence: north side of Back Street, Sawley, Derbys, at the time of the census in March 1851. ³⁶⁷ Now 73, she was then described as dependant on her children. Her daughter Elizabeth continued to live with her.

Elizabeth married John Stenson. (John Stenson died before 6 Jun 1841.)

Possible John STENSON and Elizabeth JOWETT, married 5 December 1802, Sawley, Derbys

There is a memorial in the Baptist churchyard at Sawley, Derbyshire to four children of John & Elizabeth STENSON, as follows:
John, 25 March 1810, aged 1; Paul, 10 Dec 1810, aged 3; Mary, 20 Dec 1810, aged 8; Sybyl, 8 Jan 1811, aged 11.
However, this is probably not the same couple as they had a surviving daughter Mary (John Cliffor's mother) who was born about 1815 which is during the lifetime of the Mary who was amongst the group that died.
