• Occupation: lacemaker, at the time of the census in April 1891. ¹⁰⁸ He was then living at 17 Hall Croft, Beeston, Notts with his wife and six children.

George married Eliza Dix, daughter of William Dix and Isabella Day, on 23 Aug 1869 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts.⁶¹ (Eliza Dix was born on 14 Apr 1850 in Beeston, Notts ^{76,77,78,79,80,81} and was baptised on 19 May 1850 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts ⁸².)
