John Collins

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: wire weaver, at the time of the census in June 1841. ²⁷¹ He was then living at Garden Street, Halifax, Yorkshire with his wife and four of their children. A Methodist Minister, Thomas Robinson, and another man appear to be staing with the family. Robinson is known to have been a Minister with the New Connexion Methodists which appears to be the chapel that the Collins family attended.

John married Elizabeth Carter on 4 Apr 1811 in Halifax, Yorks.²⁶⁹ (Elizabeth Carter was born circa 1791 in Halifax, Yorks ^272,273.)
