Charles married Amelia Elizabeth Hudston, daughter of Samuel Hudston and Elizabeth Nutt, on 11 Apr 1887 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts.²⁸ (Amelia Elizabeth Hudston was born in 1859 in Beeston, Notts,^47,48,49,50 died on 25 Apr 1942 ⁵¹ and was buried in Beeston Cemetery, Notts.)
