• Occupation: innkeeper and painter (own account), at the time of the census in March 1901, Brymbo, Wrexham, Denbighshire. ²⁴⁵ . He was then living at 1 Ruthin Road, Brymbo with his wife and son. A five year old visitor, Violet Harvey was also present.

John married Emily Sarah Hudston, daughter of Samuel Hudston and Elizabeth Nutt, Q3 1892 in Wrexham Registration District.⁴³ (Emily Sarah Hudston was born in 1857 in Beeston, Notts ^44,45.)
