James Dennis

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: railway servant, at the time of the census in April 1871. ⁴⁷⁴ He was then living with his wife at the home of their uncle and aunt, William & Ann Gale, at 30 Bruces Street, Wortley, Yorkshire.

• Occupation: railway carriage examininer, st the time of the census in April 1881. ⁴⁷⁵ He was then living at 69 Wallace Street, Wortley, Leeds with his wife and daughter as a separate household to the Gale family who also live there. There described as nephew and niece of William Gale.

• Occupation: greengrocer, by the time of the census in April 1891, Wortley, Yorks. ⁴⁷⁶ He was then living with his wife and daughter at 1 Bright Street, Wortley.

James married Mary. (Mary was born circa 1849 in Leeds ⁴⁷⁷.)
