• Occupation: lacemaker, at the time of the census in June 1841. ¹⁶⁵ He was then living with his wife and two children at South St, Radford, Nottingham.

• Occupation: framework knitter, at the time of the census in June 1841. ¹⁶⁶ He was then living with his wife, married daughter and grand-son at Court 5, Alfreton Rd, Radford, Nottingham. An elderly widow, Mary Parsons was also living in the household.

John married Elizabeth Gibson, daughter of Living and Living, on 22 Oct 1810 in Belton, Leics.¹⁶² (Elizabeth Gibson was born circa 1791 in Belton, Leics ^167,168 and was baptised on 26 Jun 1791 in Belton, Leics ¹⁶⁹.)
