Edward Baines

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: newspaper proprietor and printer (employing 59 men and 16 boys), at the time of the census in April 1861. ² He was then living with his wife, two adult sons and two nephews at 30 Headingley Lodge, Kirkstall Rd, Leeds. They employed five domestic servants. He also served as Member of Parliament, Magistrate and Deputy Lieutenant.

Edward married Martha. (Martha was born circa 1809 in Liverpool ³.)
