• Occupation: boiler smith, at the time of the census in April 1851. ⁵⁴⁶ He was then living at 26 Brougham St, Bishopwearmouth, Durham with his wife and two children.

Thomas married Clara Ellen Wallett, daughter of George Wallett and Eliza Ann Pinder, on 6 Apr 1874 in Sunderland, Durham.⁵⁷ (Clara Ellen Wallett was born circa 1856 in Sunderland, Durham ^58,59,60.)
