• Occupation: cotton manufacturer, at the time of the census in April 1861. ³³¹ He was then living at Arkwright Street, Nottingham with two of his daughters, on of whom is keeping house. His wife was then living at Barrowash Mills, Ockbrook with his brother Titus and other siblings.

• Occupation: cotton doubler, at the time of the census in April 1881. ³³² He was then living at Wilne Mills, Wilne, Derbyshire with his wife, three adult children and a servant.

William married Martha Hooley. (Martha Hooley was born circa 1801 in Wilne, Derbys ^333,334.)
