• Occupation: lace manufacturer and miller, at the time of the census in April 1871. ⁵⁶ He was then a widower, living on High Road, Beeston with his sons, Frederick and Samuel

Peter married Rebecca Allen on 22 Nov 1831 in St Marys, Hucknall Torkard, Nottingham.¹⁵ (Rebecca Allen was born circa 1811 in Hucknall Torkard, Notts and died before 2 Apr 1871.)

Peter next married Ann Day, daughter of Henry Day and Hannah, on 4 May 1875 in Beeston Parish Church. (Ann Day was born circa 1833 in Smalley, Derbys.)
