Elizabeth Tompson

bullet  Noted events in her life were:

• Occupation: draper, at the time of the census in March 1851. 288 She and her two brothers were apparently assisting their father in the business on Long Row where they were still living at home.

• Residence: Long Row, Nottingham, at the time of the census in April 1861. 284 She and her widowed mother continued to live here with brother Charles apparently assuming overall responsibility for the drapery business.

• Residence: 271 Oxford Street, Westminster, London, at the time of the census in April 1871. 298 She was then visiting William & Teresa James who ran an Ironmongery. Teresa was born Teresa Mary Crossley in 1827 in Ashby-de-la-Zouch and was therefor a near contemporary of Elizabeth's.
